Enjoy a Break with the UK Luxury Log Cabin Holidays

March 13th, 2012

Finding a holiday to celebrate a special occasion is a wonderful thing to
do but so many upmarket style holiday accommodation options are out of the
reach of the average person. There is a solution in the form of the log cabin holidays which
provide a very special place to stay and in quite intimate surroundings for
a good price and are the perfect place to celebrate in these cost conscious
times.

The log cabin is perfect for families and also for couples wanting to get
away from it all for a special weekend. Many are located in spectacular
surroundings close to mountain ranges, in woodlands, or by the coast and
have lots of things to see and do within the complex and also the
surrounding area. From Scotland to Cornwall the choice is huge and
affordable for most budgets.

A short break that makes people feel as though they have had a rest and
return refreshed is very important. Staying on one of the log cabins does
just this thanks to the peace and tranquillity and the very special
surroundings. Having a bit of luxury makes a huge difference and with
facilities appealing to lots of people such as a fishing lake, a hot tub and
beautiful woodland walks within a short distance what could be better.
Guests can choose to stay within their luxurious surroundings or explore the
surrounding area. There are lots of places to walk or to visit a local town
or attraction within a short drive.

Having a special meal is all part of the experience of getting away and
celebrating. On the Luxury Log Cabin Holidays retreats there are
excellent modern self catering facilities and even barbecue areas. Why not
think about visiting a local farmers market and stock up on some ingredients
to create a wonderful meal from the log cabin kitchen. Choosing from freshly
caught fish or local wine is a lovely experience and makes a meal very
special and enjoyable. For those who don?t want to cook there are usually a
wide range of pubs and restaurants within a short drive.

Guests can do as little or as much exercise as they please on a short
break. Many luxury log cabin holidays are located close to swimming pools,
classic walking routes and even horse riding so there is plenty to choose
from and even try for the first time like surfing. From reading a book
outside the log cabins to sailing on a nearby lake or cycling along some
mountain biking tracks there is something for everyone, and guests can
sometimes spend all day fishing beside a pond within the complex.

Some of the coastal locations are close to beautiful beaches where
sunbathing and swimming are popular and are the perfect place to spend a
lazy sunny afternoon. There really is something for everyone on a vacation
like this and booking the best place is best done sooner rather than later
as those in the know make sure they have reserved their favourite spots very
early to be guaranteed a return.

This is a guest post by Mark Roberts who has considerable experience in
the UK self catering travel sector and writes for Holidayparkhols a UK log cabin
and holiday park website.

Edificio Mirador - Madrid, Spain

March 6th, 2012

Spain is a beautiful country in general, and each of its regions offer an individual style. Madrid, the country's capital, has stunning historic architecture from the 18th century. It is famous for its laid-back lifestyle as well as fun loving inhabitants, so it's no wonder Madrid has some world class clubs, and bars. The city is all about culture and history, and, in contrast, art and modern technology. One example of Madrid's love of contemporary art is "el edificio mirador", a building shaped as a square with its center missing. It's actually quite structurally interesting, and definitely displays the creativity of Madrid.

Church of Hallgrimur - Reykjavik , Iceland

March 1st, 2012

Reykjavik, Iceland is a beautiful a quaint city with a small-town vibe. It is known for being the world's most northern capital, as well as its wild nightlife and art scene. It is a unique destination, but definitely solidifies the fact that not all vacations must be about tanning on beaches; for Reykjavik is a truly gorgeous city, with breathtaking views. What Reykjavik is also known for is its Church of Hallgrimur, which stands up an impressive 244 feet and has a beautifully constructed design. Not many people get to say they've travelled the world from north to south and west to east, but if you're among the daring few, Iceland is waiting.

Milwaukee Art Museum - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

February 28th, 2012

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, just south of Canada is a charming city with a rich Native-American history. And being located right beside Lake Michigan, it is needless to say there are a ton of actives to participate in, during all seasons but especially summer. One of the main attractions in Milwaukee is the city's Art Museum, which holds an incredible 20,000 works of art. Another interesting fact about Milwaukee is that it used to be one of the world's major beer producers; though this is no longer a major export, the tradition has definitely survived the generations. Whether you're looking for a good time with some friends, or somewhere fun to take the kids, Milwaukee has plenty to offer you.

Atomium - Brussels, Belgium

February 27th, 2012

Bordered by France, Germany, and the Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium is a cultural experience to say the least. With architecture from the 17th-century, open markets, museums, and scenic views, Brussels is sure to meet any traveler’s needs. Because of its' coast along the North Sea, the city makes a great dish of seafood. What Brussels is most known for, however, is the Atomium; a structure of innovative design built over 50 years ago in 1958. It was initially only meant to be up for the World Expo of Brussels in 1958, but because of its overwhelming popularity, was left standing to this day. So for a taste of culture (not to mention exquisite chocolate), and history, come to Belgium’s capital, Brussels.
